I appreciate John Piper's words in light of a similar blog entry by Dr. Mohler a few days ago. While the former remains in the affirmative with his comments, the latter used the recent reactions to Regensburg as an opportunity to criticize the papacy as an institution, which came across as petty, forced, and detractive to me.
