"Three is one too many spouses for most evangelicals."

I would disagree with Dr. Land about the "Wilsonian streak" in evangelicals. I think that his statements elsewhere to the effect that many or most evangelicals have strong Democratic roots and will return to that party if the Republicans do not consistently court them on social issues. I believe the 2006 election played out the way it did because evangelicals simply are not motivated by hearing Sean Hannity and Janet Parschals beat the war drums 24x7. That's all we ever heard. What we did not hear was anything about how important a Republican majority was to getting Roe v. Wade overturned.
